WordPress Website Design

I specialise in WordPress website design and have done for a long time.

But why?

Building with WordPress saves time

Time, we all wish we had more of it right? Content management systems like WordPress have the framework already in place. This saves a lot of time which for me is pretty valueable. WordPress also comes with a host of plugins. I don’t use many of them, but there are some that can add great functionality to your website. WooCommerce for example is a brilliant plugin which can transform any WordPress website in to a great online store. Yoast and Rank Math are also great tools if you want to learn the best SEO practices.

Using WordPress means saving money

As the framework is already there, this saves a lot of time which of course saves money for the people I work with. Whether you’re a start up, small business or an individual who fancies having a blog, we all have budgets. I like to think I can work to most budgets and building with WordPress helps me stay super competitive.

WordPress is Flexible

Yes, WordPress was built to be used as a powerful blogging tool but it’s developed in to so much more over the years. We can now use WP to create any type of website. Use WP with WooCommerce and you get a great web store where you can sell physical or digital products. There’s too many different types of websites to list them so trust me when I tell you, we can create ANY type with WP.

 I can give WordPress training

As a standard practice I offer ongoing WordPress training and help to everybody I build a website for. WP can be difficult to use, especially if you’re not really a techy type of person. I often show people how to add pages/posts, add images, add store items with WooCommerce and more. Teaching people how to change things on a WP website is easier than teaching people delve in to coding.

Do you really need a web designer?

Did I just say that? You can create your own website with WordPress and try to go it alone. As WordPress is free and open source anyone can buy a domain and web hosting package and install WP. There are some really nice templates around too, some free and some premium.

You will have problems

However, you will hit problems somewhere down the line and you will make mistakes. I know this because I’ve already made them all and learned how to fix them. I spend quite a bit of time fixing websites for people who have tried to go it alone and failed. If you’re not tech savvy, know SEO, how to set a child theme up and at least some basic CSS then you really should hire a pro.
